Funded by American and Canadian sources, completely redesigned inside on three vast levels for its new purpose, the museum project is ambitious and deliberately anachronistic, even delightfully untimely! Its aim is to raise awareness of the diverse riches of Sufism, a discipline that emerged in the 7th century. Located in the beautiful town of Chatou, on the banks of the Seine, the museum exhibits some 300 objects representing all forms of expression across 600 m² and three levels.
