In Laurent Millet's work, attention to the phenomena that surround him - be they natural or architectural, vernacular or theoretical - and the production of images are mutually implicated. His work as a whole, which is mainly made up of a variety of photographic techniques, but also of video and volume, can be read in terms of the equivalences, transfers and, ultimately, encounters that he instils between reality and representation. The image is thus a medium, with its climate, its topography and its passage of time, which he tries to inhabit.
