Mâkhi Xenakis

Mâkhi Xenakis lives and works in Paris. She studied architecture with Paul Virilio and created sets and costumes for the theater, notably with Claude Régy. In 1987, she was awarded the Villa Médicis hors les murs and moved to New York to paint until 1989. There she had a decisive encounter with Louise Bourgeois. Back in Paris, she divides her time between sculpture, drawing and writing.
