At the Musée d'Histoire, his 2016 series Vaincre le virus (Overcoming the Virus), linked to the Ebola epidemic, is now augmented by the Covid-19 series in an interconnected world, while in the monographic exhibition that the HAB Galerie is devoting to him this summer as part of the Voyage à Nantes, the boat full of bundles in the monumental Road to exile installation, an almost serene presence on a tormented sea of bottles, can only echo the thousands of Marie-Séraphiques from the Atlantic slave trade.
