SOLARIS
The exhibition
The Sun at Work
At the Chambord National Estate, the SOLARIS exhibition brings together some forty solarigraphs created by Robert Charles Mann following a residency carried out between December 2024 and June 2025. For six months, forty-three pinhole cameras were installed in the park and on the heights of the château, facing the sky to record the sun’s daily path, from the winter solstice to the summer solstice. These images offer a rare experience: seeing a historic site not frozen in a single moment, but observed over time.
