Martin Parr – Global Warning, presented at the Jeu de Paume in Paris, is one of the last exhibitions in which the British photographer actively participated before his death on December 6. This tragic coincidence lends the curatorial project an unexpected testamentary dimension, transforming what might have been just another thematic retrospective into a definitive and infinitely melancholic synthesis of the gaze a man cast upon our decaying world for half a century.
