Inaugurated by His Majesty King Mohammed VI in October 2014, the Mohammed VI Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMVI) is the first museum institution in the Kingdom to be devoted entirely to modern and contemporary art, and also the first public institution to meet international museographic standards.

More than 500 paintings and a dozen sculptures are conserved, studied and, for the most part, presented to the public.
Every year, temporary exhibitions of international scope offer visitors the pleasure of discovering a variety of artists and themes, from modern to contemporary art.

Great names in art such as César, Giacometti, Goya, Picasso, Monet, Cézanne, Sisley, Renoir, El Glaoui, Cherkaoui, Gharbaoui, Chaibia Talal, Delacroix and Cartier-Bresson, among others, have been exhibited at the museum as part of event exhibitions and retrospectives.
