Francesco Primaticcio (1504-1570), known as Primaticcio, was an outstanding creator who devoted most of his life to serving the prestige of the kings of France, from Francis I to Charles IX, through his art. He embodies both the quintessence of Italian mannerism and the achievement of the French Renaissance.
