The exhibition


L’Institut français est à l’initiative de la 4e édition de Global Caribbean, qui se tient à la Fondation Clément. 14 artistes guadeloupéens, martiniquais et guyanais sont exposés lors de cet évènement qui se préoccupe des modes d’expression contemporains dans cette région du monde. Cette exposition, en phase avec le programme « Caraïbes en création » de l’Institut, présente notamment Les enfants du Père Labat de Bruno Pédurand, installation qui montre intentionellement la diversité et le métissage de la société actuelle, ou encore Boddhi de Thierry Jarrin, sculpture réalisée à partir de pièces d’acier soudées rappelant les fétiches africains, marquant ainsi la volonté d’un retour aux racines communes aux antillais.
