The exhibition

The first museum retrospective in Paris devoted to the sculptor Germaine Richier (1902-1959) since her untimely death at the age of 57, the exhibition at the Musée National d'Art Moderne - Centre Pompidou, curated by Ariane Coulondre, presents the richness of the artist's creation, before flying to Montpellier this summer, where the Musée Fabre has dedicated a room of its permanent exhibition to her since 2007. The thematic exhibition follows the twists and turns and sensitive and experimental developments from one theme to another, centered on the passage from classical figuration to the hybridization of bodies with the animal and vegetable kingdom.
