"There was a desire to create a dialogue between generations, but also between practices, by asking an author to come and say something that wasn't just a commentary," explains Marion Coindeau, director of the Galerie Derouillon, with regard to L'Homme qui a perdu son squelette (The Man Who Lost His Skeleton). With its mysterious title taken from a collective work by Arp, Duchamp Carrington and others produced in the Surrealist period, the exhibition held out the promise of strangeness.
