Jordi. Sculptures
The exhibition
In Jordi's monumental sculptures, which are currently lining the town centre of Issoire, the eye is drawn to two forms at the same time. A small one, in a series of simple variations, serves a large one. In other words, the large one, whether geometric or animal-shaped, is the result of multiplying the small one. The latter, defined as an "archetype, composed of 2 straight lines and 2 curves, identical in pairs", has been the basis of Jordi's work in Montpellier for some thirty years. His White Cube, fixed at a single point, is punctuated by the repetition of this motif, with thirty holes on each of its white steel faces.
