GASTINEAU MASSAMBA. MAKUKU MÂ TÀTÛ

"I really like this picture of Albert Einstein sticking his tongue out: in painting, mouths are usually closed, tongues and teeth rarely visible. In my work, it's the opposite: we see a lot of the scream, the mouth, the tongue and the teeth. Saliva too. Painting saliva interests me, even if it sometimes disturbs those who look at my paintings. After that, a work of art has to speak for itself, which is why I try to say as little as possible about it."
Gastineau Massamba
